I began volunteering in high school youth group in 2001. I knew from day one, His will was for me to be with these kids. I haven't "worked" a day since! I thank God everyday for the opportunity to be involved in their lives.
In 2001, I also began college. I was 21, on welfare and a single mom. I received my AA at Copper Mountain College and by the incredible grace of God, my BA in liberal studies at University of Redlands. My goal is to begin my masters degree in 5 years from now, when my youngest is in 5th grade. Perhaps sooner, as He guides.
My personal goal in Christ is to live completely out of breath for Him. To not just barely make it to Heaven, but to actually understand fully and live out what it means to be Christian. My hope, is that through my own pursuit of God, by my example, spoken or not, I will make others incredibly hungry for a relationship with the Almighty Creator of the universe.
