Lightning Football News...

The Lightning Varsity football team was awarded a CIF Academic Banner during the pre-game show of the Anaheim Angels - Cleveland Indians game at Anaheim Stadium Tuesday night. The award was given to the Lightning Football team for achieving a 3.42 GPA per player on the varsity team. This was the highest GPA for a football team in ALL of Southern California schools of ANY size. The banner will be displayed in the Thunderdome along with the Co-Finalists banner for this year's 2nd place finish in the CIF Large School 8-Man Championship.

We want to congratulate Coach Roberts and his staff for their committment to the academic side of their football program. To all of the Varsity Players, we congratulate you and thank you for bringing this honor to our school, to your coaches and to each of your parents. God has truly blessed this program this year and we give him all the glory. Go Lightning!
