Lightning Football News...Lightning Wins Agape League Championship with 9-0 record! Friday night's game between the Lightning and the CSOD Crusaders should have been called the "Sand Bowl" as 50-60 MPH winds blew sand on the field throughout the game. It was the worst weather conditions for any home game we've had...yet the Lightning prevailed 31-6 over a very good CSOD team. The win captured the Agape League Championship and completed a 9-0 perfect season for the 2nd year in a row. It also landed the No. 1 seed in the CIF Playoffs which start this Friday night at Lightning Stadium.It was also "Senior" night and all of the seniors were honored in Football, Volleyball, Cheersquad and Pep Band. Seniors that were honored were Johnathan "Jake" Henley, Jacob Holz, Robert Masaniai, Jesse Mock, Justin Peterson, Tom Robinson and Ricky Roling in Football, Tonya Carter and Brianne Jones in Volleyball, Holly Conner, Jennifer Aceves and Courtney Bogue from the Cheer Squad and RJ Rarick and Paul Wagner from the Pep Band. The First Playoff game will be at 7:30 Friday night at Lightning Stadium. The Lightning will be taking on Pilgrim Christian from the Heritage League. Please remember that there is a charge for playoff games even if you are wearing Lightning apparel.
