Lightning Moves to Large School Division
The Joshua Springs Lighnting football team has been placed in the Large School Division of Eight-Man Football in the CIF-Southern Section this year. The Lighnting had previously been ranked #1 in Small School play and is currently ranked #4 in the Large School Division. The change in division will not alter this year's schedule but does affect the play-off picture for the Lightning. In the playoffs the Lightning will face great competition in the Large School Division. Faith Baptist, Bloomington Christian, Riverside Christian, Maricopa and Avalon are just a few of the powerhouses that have ruled the Large Division of the CIF action. Coach Roberts and the Lightning Football Staff are excited about the increase in competition and feel that they are up to the test. "We have one goal and that has not changed, to dominate to the championship game, to dominate to the ring. The Lightning open the season against Avalon on Sept. 7th at 12:00 noon. Look out Large School Division a storm is brewing and the Lightning is coming!
