Lightning Lose to Riverside Christian 25-6!

Tim Krapivkin and the TKO on the move!

The Lightning knew going into game that this would be the biggest challenge of the year, playing the #1 ranked team in 8-Man Large Division football and ... playing them at their home field. There was a lot of emotion in this game for the Lightning as they remembered last year's championship game and how Riverside Christian pulled out the win in the last few minutes of the game. It would be nice to return the favor by pulling off a major upset and defeating the Cougars at home. It would have been nice.

The game was a defensive battle for the most part with the score staying close until the fourth quarter when the Cougars scored twice adding an additional 10 points on to the 15-6 lead they had established. Many people felt the Cougars were at least a 4-TD favorite so to hold them to only a 9 point lead for most of the game was a victory for this young Lightning team.

The Lightning play Lone Pine next at Lone Pine and then a BIG Agape League game opener with Hesperia Christian on the following Friday at Hesperia. Please come to the games if you can we need your support.
