Biography
2007 (Senior) - Eddie was a force in 8-Man Division I as the Lightning won their 4th straight Agape League Championship and this year... the CIF 8-Man Division I Championship. Eddie finished with 1594 yards on 165 carries averaging 9.7 yds per carry. Eddie could have got more yards but 7 of the 13 games he played in were stopped early because of the 45-pt mercy rule that exists in 8-man football. Eddie set the new career rushing record of 5,117 yds on 639 carries. For his efforts Eddie was recognized as the CIF 8-Man Division I Most Valuable Player, he was all Agape League and was voted the Most Valuable Player and Iron Man awards by his coaches.
2006 (Junior) - Eddie had a tremendous year as a junior setting several new school records as a running back and was the top defensive leader on the team as well. Eddie finished the year with 33 TD's and 32 conversion points for a total of 230 points. Eddie set a new school record of scoring 6 TD's in a single game. Eddie rushed for 1815 yds on 228 carries scoring 27 TD's. Eddie became the all time leading rusher in school history with 3,523 yds in 3 years. Eddie set a new single game rushing record of 272 yds against Desert Chapel. Eddie also set the career record for defensive tackles at 313 in 3 years. Eddie was voted All CIF by 8-Man DIV I coaches. He was also voted by the Agape League coaches as Agape Defensive MVP 2006. Eddie received from his coaches the 2006 Most Valuable Player award, 2006 Defensive Player of the Year and the 2006 Iron Man Award. This year Eddie had 98 tackles, 6 sacks, 4 interceptions, 3 for TDs on defense.
2005 (Sophomore) - As a sophomore Eddie split time at RB with Senior Running back Tony Garrido. Eddie carried the ball 134 times for 1056 yds and 16 TDs. Eddie had just 1 fumble all year. Eddie also had 14 catches for 204 yds and 2 TDs. On defense Eddie lead the team with 150 tackles, 65 solo, and 1 sack at Linebacker. Eddie was voted All Agape League by the Agape league coaches and 2005 Defensive Player of the year by his own coaches.
2004 (Freshman) - As a freshman Eddie was one of the few althletes that has ever made the varsity team. He rushed 112 times for 652 yds and 8 TDs. Eddie also had 3 catches for 18 yds. On defense he had 65 tackles and 3 fumble recoveries. For his efforts he was voted Agape League Honorable Mention by the Agape League coaches.
