Hundreds of JS fans came out to the Lightning stadium to watch our football team take on Desert Christian on September 25th. After the victory against Santa Clarita last Friday with the score of 22-6, everyone was hoping for another victorious win. Unfortunately it was a game of mistakes, and we lost to Desert Christian with a score of 6-20.
Joe Leichtner had 5 out of 10 completions in 66 yards. Zack Ontiveros had 3 out of 8 completions with a single touchdown.
Tyler Carlisle rushed a total of 60 yards out of 13 attempts. Zack Ontiveros got 5 yards out of 3 attempts. Greg Lindblom got 31 yards out of 5 attempts, and Steven Henderson got 13 rushing yards out of 3 attempts.
Jake Ontiveros got 3 tackles, and 1 assist. Michael Samu got 2 tackles. Jono Sullivan with 2 tackles and 3 assists, Steve Henderson with 2 tackles and 1 assist. Tyler Carlisle with 3 tackles and 2 assists. Greg Lindblom had 7 tackles and 5 assists! Chris Barnes with 2 tackles and 2 assists, Zack Ontiveros with 1 tackle, Erik McClay with 3 tackles and 1 assist, Joe Leichtner with 1 tackle, and Levi Garrido with 6 tackles and 3 assists!
Erik McClay had 1 interception with 14 yards, and Levi Garrido had 1 interception.
Lightning will play against Windward School October 2 nd.
