Lightning Volleyball News...
Lightning Lose to Riverside Christian 3-1!
The Lightning battled a very tough Riverside Christian team and came up short losing 3-1. Riverside took the first 2 games 15-11 and 15-9 putting the Lightning in the hole and fighting to stay in the game. The Lightning rallied and won the third game 15-9 but fell short in the fourth game losing 12-15. The loss is only the 2nd of the season for the Lady Lightning who are currently ranked 5th in Division VA. The Loss brings the Lightning to a 7-2 record on the year.
Top Player stats are as follows: Amber Carter (#7) had 7 Kills, 11 Aces and 3 Stuff Blocks. Becca Millard (#10) had 6 Kills, 3 aces and 2 Stuff Blocks. Tonya Carter (#4) had 2 aces, 5 stuff blocks and was a perfect 11 of 11 serving.
The Lightning will be playing Pacific Christian on this Friday (Oct.4th) in the Thunderdome at 4:30. The JV game starts at 3:30 so come out early and cheer on both teams to victory!.
