Lady Lightning Ready for Playoffs

The DIV. 5AA #5 Ranked Lady Lightning (14-8, 8-2) finished the regular season with a big win over the Apple Valley Warriors 3-1 in Agape League play. The win landed the Lady Lightning a second place finish in the Agape League and a guaranteed spot in the 2005 Div 5AA playoffs.

The Lady Warriors started out the match winning the first game 18-25 but the Lady Lightning led by Senior Amanda Nelson fought back to win the next games 25-16, 25-20 and 25-23. This was a big win for the Lady Lightning who did not have Senior Katy Ortiz for the game, the team's leading offensive scorer.

The Lady Lightning's first playoff match will be Thursday Night, Nov. 10th, at 7:00PM at the Thunderdome against the DIV 5AA #10 ranked Boron Bobcats from Boron, CA. The Lady Bobcats finished their regular season 14-4, 8-2 in the Desert Mountain League. This looks to be a great match up for an exciting first round match.
