Hesperia Christian Sweep the Lightning with 3-0 Win!

The Lady Lightning (10-7,9-3) had the Hesperia Christian Lady Patriots (13-5, 10-1) right where they wanted them; at home, in the Thunderdome with several hundred fans on hand to cheer on the efforts of the team. The Lady Lightning were ready to play and had they hearts set on upsetting a team they have never beaten.

The Lady Lightning started well but then got behind and could not catch the Lady Patriots in the first game losing 18-25. The Lady Patriots were also strong in the 2nd game winning 16-25. The Lady Lightning played a great third game but came up short losing 21-25, giving the match to the Lady Patriots and a sweep in League play for the season.

Senior Allison Reed had 10 kills and 4 aces in the match, junior Kylie McKoy had 6 kills and 1 ace, Senior Alyse Young had 3 kills and 3 aces, Senior Amanda Newcomb had 20 assists, 1 kill and 2 aces and Senior Crissy Clark and Freshman Emily Wilson had 1 kill each.

Next up for the Lady Lightning, is an away game at AAE in Victorville on Monday Oct. 30th at 5:30PM.
