(Oct. 30th, Yucca Valley) The Lady Lightning jumped out to an 8-0 lead in League which landed them the first place in the Agape League after Victor Valley Christian lost to Hesperia Christian tonight as well. This is the first time that the Lady Lightning could actually win the league championship.

The thunderdome was rocking tonight when the Lady Lightning (13-6, 8-0) hosted a doubleheader against the Excelsior Education Center Eagles (0-11, 0-6). The Lady Lightning took control over the first match against the Eagles where the Lightning won 3-0; 25-6, 25-7, and 25-20.

In game two, Coach Newcomb brought in the JV team. The Lady Lightning lost one of the games, but they came back and won the doubleheader to sweep out the Excelsior Education Center eagles, 25-8, 25-11, 25-9.

Tops on the court were Abby Lombardo who was perfect from the line with 9 aces, Ashlyn Morrison had 4 aces, Emily Wilson had 2 aces, 11 kills and 2 blocks, Kim Trowbridge had 9 kills, Haley Allen had 4 aces and 10 kills, Jackie Cook had 3 aces and 6 kills, Tasha McPherson had 4 kills, Nikki Barker had 2 aces, 6 kills and 2 blocks, Destiny Kieffer had 1 ace and 1 kill, and Brittany Thomas had 1 kill.

Next up for the Lady Lightning is an Agape League match with the AAE Lady Knights on Tuesday, Nov. 4th at Victorville and then a match for the Agape League Championship on Thursday, Nov. 6th at Victorville as well.
