2008 Volleyball Season Starts Sept. 13!

The Lady Lightning will open their 2008 season rocking the thunderdome with the 8th Annual "Joshua Tree National Park Volleyball Classic" which will host 10 total teams for an full day of volleyball action. The tournament will be held Saturday, September 13th and will beging at 8:00AM and goes until they are done. Teams participating in this year's tournament are Calvary Baptist, Calvary Christian, Cornerstone Christian (Wildomar), Eastside Christian, Excelsior Education Center, Lake Arrowhead Christian, Packinghouse Christian, Palm Valley, River Springs and the host Lady Lightning of Joshua Springs.

This will be a good test for our young but very good varsity squad. Coach Newcomb is very pleased with the progress of this year's team and believes they will be much more competitive in play this year. The team finished 3-18 last year in a rebuilding year and are anxious to get things going this year to see just how good they might be. Lightning fans are ready to rock the dome too. Come out and see this year's team. Seating will be limited as the stands are not used on tournament day; seating in the balcony is available as well as a snack bar for food.
