Lightning’s First Pre-Season Game

On December 8th, the boy’s varsity basketball team claimed their first victory going up against Marywood/Palm Valley, with the score 56-44. The Lightning proved they can play, even with only getting in one practice before the game.
Luke Stencel scored 21 points with 7 baskets made, and 17 attempted. He had 2 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals. Levi Garrido scored 6 points with 3 baskets made, and 13 attempted. He had 1 assist, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals. Zack Ontiveros scored 9 points with 4 baskets made and 18attempted. He had 1 assist, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals. Brett Hollins scored 6 points with 3 baskets made, and 5 attempted. He had 14 rebounds and 2 steals. Steve Henderson scored 4 points with 2 baskets. He had 10 rebounds and 1 steal. Alec Smith had 1 rebound. Matt Deliberto scored 3 points with 1 basket, and had 2 rebounds. Erik McClay scored 7 points with 3 baskets made, and 12 attempted. He had 6 assists, 8 rebounds, and 7 steals.
Overall the Lightning Varsity did very well and fought hard to earn their fist win. Their next game is away on the 10th against Redlands Adventist Academy, so come out and support the Lightning Varsity team.
