Lightning Volleyball News... 

Lightning's first lost

On Tuesday, October 20 th the Lady Lightning went up against Victor Valley Christian. These two rival teams were co-champions last year so this was a big game for both schools.

Game 1, Lightning took the victory with solid playing and great serving. Game 2 started off well for the Lady Lightning, but Victor’s score gradually went up and they scored the last few points from their middle hitter. Game 3, was another solid win from the Lady Lightning, but Game 4 was another close loss and Victor took the victory. Game 5 was a disappointing loss for Lady Lightning. Victor ran many points in the beginning and Lightning couldn’t catch up.

Even though this was a sad loss for the Lady Lightning, the game was still full of solid playing and good teamwork. Lightning still has a chance at league champions if they beat Victor at the second away game. Upcoming games are this Thursday, away at AAE, and this Friday, away at Hesperia Christian.
